Trail head
I'm sporting my new Obama t.
And we're off on our 6.5 mile trek.
Ted and Dale survey the land.
The terrain was surprisingly rocky.
Break time.
Some funky looking tree.
Checking out the lake.
Dale doing the same.
Ted before he looked like a rag doll.
Cheese?
Shows some variety between the different types of trails.
The lake was lower than normal which resulted in some funky vegetation.
Knight Spring
Making use of the bench at Knight Spring.
Ted is happy... for now. He doesn't realize he needs to hike four more miles.
Trail littered with cacti.
A questionable bridge.
One of the many dead trees scattered along the lake.
A backpack makes a wonderful lounge chair.
Dale not too happy.
More lake.
Sun going down over the trail.
Field between the campsite and the lake.
I think the normal water level would be over Dale's head.
Dead trees everywhere.
View from the campsite looking towards the lake (but not visible in the pic).
Oops, was there a fire ban?!?
Dead wood.
Dale likes to climb on rocks.
The river was smaller than we expected ;-)
This would not be a good place to fall!
